No, proctors are not alerted via email or on Nextera Admin when a student pauses the computer-based test in the Nextera Secure Browser.
Proctors must be actively proctoring the testing session. A proctor will be required to assist a student with re-accessing the test via use of the Proctor PIN when a student has paused (or logged out of) the test.
This year, we have added an enhancement to Nextera Admin that will show a student's Connection Status to indicate if the student is online or offline. When a student pauses the test, the student's connection status in Nextera Admin will indicate "offline."
