Subject: Important: Information for Schools Testing on CBT Today, April 11, 2018
We understand that some schools throughout the state are still encountering a delay with trying to download the computer-based test. For those schools that have not yet had students begin testing, i.e., the students have not downloaded the test in the Nextera Secure Browser, the schools have the flexibility of either conducting the session in the afternoon or resuming testing tomorrow.
We want to make sure that students are engaged in activities and are not sitting around waiting for extended periods of time.
Schools may begin their test session on another day. We have intentionally created a nine-day CBT administration window to provide maximum flexibility, and schools may use any of the testing days for CBT administration due to this issue. This is a local decision.
For those students who continued working while offline this morning, they can continue testing. Before any student submits the test, the Proctor and the student should confirm that the student’s Secure Browser is online.
Please note that all student responses are cached locally to a student’s computer. No test questions will be lost. The Questar system has recovery mechanisms built into it. If a student is unable to submit the test, then the school should call Questar for direction: 866-997-0695.
We will continue to provide information to via this email list and on CBT Support. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and appreciate your continued partnership with CBT.
