    • Wednesday, March 13: Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES in New Hartford, NY (Utica)
    • Thursday, March 14: Questar III BOCES in the Capital Region, NY (Castleton-on-Hudson, NY)
    • We are still working on the Statewide Webinar date for ScorePoint and will announce next week.
      • UPDATE: The Statewide Webinar for ScorePoint will be Monday, March 18.
    • Reminder: the ScorePoint training sessions are hands-on training events.
      • Scoring directors and scorers bring their laptops and have the opportunity to score mock CRs during the training session.
      • There have been no major changes to ScorePoint for this year.
  • CBT Field Testing: We have a plan this year for BOCES program schools to participate in CBT Field Testing. In years’ past, even though the BOCES may have selected “computer” format for field testing when ordering tests, we did not have a way to “fold them into” the assignments developed by psychometricians at Questar and NYSED.
    • This year, if a BOCES selected “computer” for field testing format, they will be provided an assignment in the field testing assignments spreadsheet posted to the Office of State Assessment website in March each year; we will determine next who will receive the field testing assignment letters (the principal receives these postal letters for a school).
    • Reminder: All Field Testing assignments are posted in March and available on the Office of State Assessment website
  • CBT Field Testing: There will be no “OPT” optional field testing assignments this year for CBT. In the past, some schools were provided with the option to field test or not field test on computer when being assigned a CBT subject and grade level. All schools will be expected to conduct field testing on paper and computer formats.
  • Password Resets: as mentioned last week, a group of RIC colleagues received password reset emails without having initiated that event on Nextera Admin.
    • Questar investigated to find that a DTC for which the RIC is associated, did a “mass” password reset and simply clicked “reset” for all user accounts associated to the district in Nextera Admin.
    • We want folks to be aware of this—users, especially DTCs, should only be clicking “Reset Password” for an account after the following:
      • Recognizing/Knowing who the user is
      • Advising the user that a password reset is coming
      • Confirming that the user, such as the DTC, has authoritative administrative rights over that user’s account
  • Registration is posted for the Information Webinar to help schools prepare for the CBT Simulations: https://cbtsupport.nysed.gov/hc/en-us/articles/360021570651-Register-Now-Information-Webinar-on-January-30-2019-to-Help-Schools-Prepare-for-the-Statewide-CBT-Simulations
