February 2, 2021: This article has been updated for the 2020-21 school year.

March 31, 2021: The Quick Reference Guide has been updated.

The Quick Reference Guide, attached to this article, provides the needed instructions to disable all applications on Windows and MacOS platforms to prevent any interruptions when testing with the  Questar Secure Browser. Additionally, this document will provide instructions to disable start-up applications.

The Questar Secure Browser for Windows and Mac will not open until all applications (e.g., meeting apps, classroom apps, browsers, email, etc.) are disabled. If an application is running and the user tries to launch the secure browser, the following error message displays: "Please disable {running app name} and try again.". The Secure Browser will not launch until all conflicting applications and non-secure background processes are disabled.
