For the 2025–26 school year, there are no new Secure Browser releases. Schools can continue using last year’s versions of the Secure Browser on Windows, Mac, Chrome, and iPads. All existing versions remain stable, reliable, and fully secure — no updates or reinstallation are required.
What’s New This Year?
In past years, the standard process was to download and install the latest Secure Browser each school year for all devices. This year is different:
- Windows, Mac, Chrome, and iPads – No new installation is required. Continue using the 2025 Secure Browser already installed from last year.
How to Check If You’re Running the Latest Version
Even though reinstallation is not required for Windows, Mac, Chrome, or iPads, schools should verify that all student devices being used for testing in 2026 are running the latest supported version:
- Open the secure browser on the device.
- On the main screen, look for the version number at the bottom of the login screen.
- Confirm the version number with the information provided below.
