Last fall, an asset purchase agreement took place between Questar Assessment, Inc. and NWEA State Solutions. The transition took place during the 2021-22 school year and had no impact on the team nor provision of services for the New York State Grades 3-8 testing programs.
The result of this purchase will continue to have little to no impact on the NYS testing programs, but we wanted to let you know of some areas where schools may begin to see a transition in branding (i.e., logos) from Questar Assessment, Inc. to NWEA. With the start of the 2022-23 school year, schools will begin to see some changes in branding to reflect NWEA in email addresses for individual contractor staff dedicated to the NYSED testing programs and in some of the training materials. However, there will be no change to the Nextera Administration System, to the secure browser/test delivery system, nor to ScorePoint, the platform used for scoring computer-based tests.
