The NYS Grades 3-8 English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, and the Intermediate-Level and the Elementary-Level Science Computer-Based Testing Fall Training presentation slides are provided below. The Fall Training presentation provides guidance and instruction to help prepare schools for their participation in the Statewide Simulation and Spring operational testing. The training has been split into two parts this year.
Part One covers testing schedules and milestones; an overview of the online ordering system, computer-based testing platforms; technical requirements; an overview of the Statewide Simulation; new features and reminders; helpful tips for computer-based testing; and contact information for questions and/or concerns.
Part Two covers the Nextera Admin platform; creating classes; managing students; alternate languages; not tested codes; monitoring and downloadable reports; helpful tips for computer-based testing; and contact information for questions and/or concerns.
